- Identification: operating instructions, inspection tag, and labels are legible
- Fullness: non-gauge units are checked using the appropriate weight or heft method
Annual maintenance inspection
- All applicable monthly inspection points
- Weight, hose/nozzle, valve, mounting, and condition checks required for the service
- Verification of the manufacture date and next internal or hydrostatic service date
- Confirmation that the extinguisher type is suitable for the hazard area
- Recording of findings, deficiencies, corrective actions, and service information
